Durable, precise and beautiful make-up means a good mascara. Obviously, each of us interprets it differently. So many women, so many different factors indicating the perfection of that one mascara. So how do you recognize that the product you want to buy is the best?
Types of mascaras
Do you know that the final effect strongly depends on the mascara brush? The type of mascara is distinguished on the basis of the brush. There are:
- lengthening mascara – they contain cashmere molecules and polymers that give the effect of lengthening, the bristles in such mascaras are usually widely spaced, which facilitates the separation of eyelashes so that each lash is entirely covered;
- thickening mascara – they have a thick consistency and a brush with tightly-spaced bristles;
- curling mascara – the brush resembles a bow, it is thanks to the shape the eyelashes are curled;
- classic mascara – it has a standard, straight brush of medium-thick size that give the effect of naturally highlighted eyelashes;
- lengthening and curling mascara – the brush is curved with densely spaced bristles;
- lash-separating mascara – the brush resembles a comb that is used to brush the eyelashes.
What are the features of a good mascara?
1. Brush
The brush needs to be precisely made because the final effect strongly depends on it. The shape, size, spacing of bristles and how it lies in hand have influence on how we look. The brush does not have to be tapered at one end – there are also ball wands. The brush should have bristles of different length, which will make it easy to reach even the shortest eyelashes.
If you are to choose a good brush, pick a silicone one. Such applicators are precise and hygienic. They can be easily washed, do not deform or accumulate impurities. Silicone brushes comb the eyelashes well and thoroughly cover them with the formula.
2. Durability
Before you buy, check if the mascara is durable, does not smudge, flake, and, above all, provide permanent results. You need to be sure that your mascara will not fall on your cheeks after a few minutes or will not transfer to the eyelids.
3. Care
A good mascara not only coats but it also cares for eyelashes. Therefore, it should contain waxes, oils, plant extracts, silk, panthenol and odourless ingredients. Thanks to them, the lashes will be glossy, moisturised and nourished, and the make-up itself will look much better.
